GET INVOLVED IN 2017 - 2018! Join one or more of these groups...
* Remember soap for Care and Share.
Greeters: This group welcomes all attendees at SRWC luncheons and events, giving special attention to new and potential members.
For information, please contact Nancy Farnham or Sue Carletti Johnson
Winter Fun: The focus of this group is to find fun winter outdoor activities like snow shoeing, cross-country skiing, sledding, or ice skating at The Village, to encourage women to get out and enjoy the cool fresh air and each other! If you are interested in finding out more about the group or have ideas for different ways to enjoy winter in Central Oregon, contact Co-Chairs Patty Klascius or Sheila Schmerber at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Hearty Soles Hiking Group: This group hikes from April to October on various days of the week. We welcome all levels of hikers. Enjoy the beautiful outdoors with old and new friends. If you are interested in joining, please contact the Program Leaders Pat Arnold & Melodee Munckton at email@example.com
Soft Soles Walking Group: Soft Sole walkers is for those who prefer easier hikes, typically less than 3 miles, on fairly level ground. Sometimes lunch is part of the plan. We may hike with the Hearty Soles but take a shorter, easier route.
If you want to be included on the Soft Soles roster in order to receive emails about hikes, please contact Lynn Cervantes at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Loose Cannons: This group is open to all SRWC women. Activities are strictly social in nature and there is no set day or time. It is dependent on current local area events and the interests of members. We have enjoyed dinner gatherings at area restaurants, theater and opera outings and happy hour socials at members' homes. Please contact Dottie Meilink or Thea Ciccolo.
Philanthropy Committee: This group oversees the selection of grant recipients and the distribution of the charitable funds raised by SRWC over the previous year. Beginning in the fall, grant applications are solicited from local nonprofits, and in winter the received applications are researched by the Committee. Grant awards are determined in Committee with emphasis given to South Deschutes County agencies and to those organizations that work with and for children and families. Please contact Cheryl Storm at email@example.com.

Sunriver Knitters: Sunriver Knitters work on individual projects, share information and enjoy fellowship. Our service project is knitting Chemo Care Caps for the Infusion Center at Bend Memorial Clinic, St. Charles Hospital Infusion Center and St. Charles Radiation Center. To join (or if you would like to knit a hat), please contact Shirley Voyles or Kathie Thatcher. The group meets the first Wednesday of each month.
We Care: The idea behind this program is that it is always pleasant to receive a card or note expressing support, sympathy, encouragement, congratulations or other caring messages. We want the members of our community to know that they live in an area that is genuinely concerned and supportive. For this to work well, we need the names of members who are ill, who have had a family member pass away, or who have been honored by their peers, etc.
